Description

A very pretty C. 1950’s child’s cotton dress. It has no lable and appears to be almost totally handmade. The fabric is sturdy showing a slight weave. The pattern is little flowers in red and white.
The skirt is a full 360 degrees and is gathered into the waist. It has a sash stitched in the front on either side and this ties with a big bow. It has two little pockets on the front, edged with white bias binding. The collar is white and the sleeves are bound with white bias binding too.
It fastens down the back with seven press studs with a pretend mother of pearl button showing on the upper side of the fabric.
It really appears to be in excellent condition looking as if it has had very little or no wear.
Would be a lovely dress for a child going to Goodwood or any revival occasion from the 1940’s or 1950’s. Or it could be worn as a pretty dress for a childs Birthday party!
